This is one section excerpted from the High School Physics (self-paced) course.

Enrolling and working through this will allow you to sample the content, the level of difficulty and teaching style of the instructor - before making your purchase.
Here are more details about the entire course:

This course is an algebra-based college preparatory high school physics course designed for the 10th, 11th or 12th-grade high school student.

You have one year to work your way through this self-paced course:

  • You set the pace through the structured lessons
  • You fit them into your schedule
  • There are learning checks throughout each lesson
  • For lessons with experiments/labs you'll provide the materials (but I've set them up to use commonly available items - no special lab equipment needed)

This course is for students who have completed:

  • algebra 1 (including the quadratic formula, adding fractions, and logarithms),
  • geometry (including the Pythagorean theorem),

And have been introduced to the trigonometry definitions of:

  • sine,
  • cosine,
  • tangent,
  • arc-sine, and
  • arc-tangent

This course provides a detailed introduction to the methods and concepts of general physics, emphasizing vector analysis. It provides the student with a strong background in the classical physics topics of:

  • 1-dimensional and 2-dimensional kinematics and kinetics,
  • Newton’s 3 laws of motion,
  • Tanslational and rotational motion,
  • Uniform circular motion,
  • Work-energy theorem,
  • Impulse-momentum (including collisions and explosions),
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Thermodynamics
  • Oscillations/periodic motion,
  • Waves (both sound and light),
  • Geometric optics (lenses and mirrors),
  • Electricity, and
  • Magnetism

To enhance learning, experiments are also included in the course. No need for a lab kit, the experiments use commonly available and household items.

Weekly time investment: 8-10 hours (reading, homework, doing labs, preparing for tests, etc.)
